About The Notre Dame Football Heritage Project
The Notre Dame Football Heritage Project started out as a vision. It was born in a Debartalo Hall classroom at the University
of Notre Dame, where I was teaching a class in multimedia journalism. Information was shared with students about an
Irish ancestral heritage project which, at the time, was being run by the Irish government. Here individuals were invited
to purchase a commemorative "Certificate of Irish Heritage" to celebrate their Irish heritage. I shared my desire to do
something similar by documenting the Notre Dame Football fan experience. The students liked the idea and encouraged
me to make the vision a reality.  And so we did.  The project is part of LTC Media, LLC, and began its journey as part of
the 2018 Notre Dame McCloskey New Venture Competition.

The Notre Dame Football Heritage Project is a database that lists the name, hometown, year, andopponent of a fan's first Notre Dame Football game.  

The Notre Dame Football Heritage Project Goal
The Notre Dame Football Heritage Project was created to recognize those individuals who are proud to support the
Fighting Irish, and to commemorate their first Notre Dame Football game.  Fans can receive a certificate and/or add their
name to the all-time Notre Dame fan database. The ultimate goal of the project is to create an interactive site where fans
will share their game day stories, photos, and videos.  Imagine, if you will, "Facebook meets Pinterest meets Ancestry.com."

About the Certificate
The "Loyal Son" and "Loyal"Daughter" certificates feature the Notre Dame Football Heritage Project Crest, while the
"Loyal Family" certificate displays the "We Have No Breaking Point" quote by Coach Ara Parseghian. All certificates 
feature the Gaelic phrase "Céad Mile Fáilte" which, when translated, means "A Hundred Thousand Welcomes". Each
certificate is also signed, dated, and stamped with the official Notre Dame Football Heritage Project Seal. A special birth announcement has also been created to recognize the next generation of Fighting Irish fans. 

The Notre Dame Football Heritage Project and the Ara Parseghian Medical Research Fund
A major goal of the project is to support the Ara Parseghian Medical Research Fund, as a corporate supporter, in addition
to working with, and supporting, strategic partners who help promote the project
